ABOUT US
Odeceixe Surf School was founded in 2008 by local surfer David Rosa, who still runs the school with a small team of experienced instructors.
We love surfing, we love teaching people to surf and helping them take their surfing to the next level, and we love this beautiful stretch of coastline we call home.
We’re based near the Odeceixe beach where we have a “board room” full of surfing gear for surf lessons and rentals.
The adventure begins as soon as we pick you up from your accommodation.
From there it’s a scenic drive to the beach past authentic Algarve villages, cork forests, fishermen and sea cliffs, often with a brief stop to take in the spectacular coastal views.
At the beach you’ll meet our friendly instructors who will sort you out with the right surfboard and wetsuit for you.
We have a huge selection of surfboards in various sizes and brand new wetsuits, upgraded every year.
Then it’s a short walk down to the sand for some warm-up exercises with your instructor before the lesson begins.
We keep our class sizes small, just 6-8 students per instructor, to maximise your time in the water and ensure you have fun, stay safe and learn as much as possible.
We run lessons in English, German, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch.
As well as surf lessons we run 3-day and 5-day courses and rent surfboards, bodyboards and wetsuits. We can even arrange packages that include accommodation.
